These early fall nights are perfect for firing up the smoker and making some delicious barbecue. And what goes better with savory, smoky meats than a creamy and tangy slaw? Whip this up in minutes and serve alongside your favorite barbecue dish.

3/4 cup red onion, diced
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 Tablespoons Dijon mustard
2 Tablespoons brown sugar
1 Tablespoon malt vinegar
1/2 teaspoon each:
red pepper flakes
2 cups green cabbage, shredded
2 cups red cabbage, shredded
1 large carrot, shredded
*Or substitute a 14-ounce bag of shredded classic coleslaw mix
Whisk dressing ingredients in a small bowl until combined.
In a separate bowl, stir together slaw ingredients.
Pour dressing over slaw mixture, and stir until combined. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
