Mardi Gras may be over but you can still get a taste of the Big Easy with this savory shrimp dish.
Recipe and photograph by Kimme Hargrove
1 stick of butter (melted)
2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
6 dashes of hot sauce
1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped
3 garlic gloves, minced
2 lemons (1 juiced, 1 sliced)
1.5 pounds raw shrimp (in shell)
Heat oven to 400°F.
Mix all ingredients except shrimp and sliced lemon in a bowl.
Place shrimp in a 9×13 pan, scatter sliced lemon over the top, then pour butter mixture over the top of shrimp.
Bake, gently stirring every 10 minutes, for up to 30 minutes, or until shrimp are pink.
Serve with crusty French or baguette-style bread to dip in the sauce.
