Pickled Onions

Use homemade pickled onions to dress up tacos, nachos, barbecue, sandwiches, pizzas, burgers or charcuterie plates. They make a great addition to any tailgate spread, adding color as well as flavor to whatever you’re serving.

Pickled Onions1 large red onion, thinly sliced

½ cup apple cider vinegar

1 cup warm water

1 Tablespoon sugar

1 ½ teaspoons salt

Place all ingredients in a container with a lid (preferably a Mason jar) and let sit overnight at room temperature. Then refrigerate for at least 24 hours. Will keep for six weeks in the refrigerator.
