This appetizer, inspired by the dish served at Kiefer’s restaurant in Jackson, Miss., is the perfect accompaniment to a Mediterranean-themed dinner.

Naan bread or pita bread (flat, without pocket)
Shredded mozzarella cheese
Heat a large, nonstick skillet over medium heat with no oil or spray. Place 2 ounces of cheese directly onto the skillet, and immediately press one slice of bread on top of the cheese. Let cheese melt until lightly browned, then carefully flip bread over to cheese side up, and remove from pan. Set aside and repeat as desired.
Slice with a pizza cutter and serve with Feta Dressing.
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup sour cream
3 ounces feta cheese, crumbled
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/4 teaspoon each salt and pepper
Put all ingredients in a food processor or blender, and process until creamy. Cover and chill 1 hour before serving.
