Invite your friends over for a fiesta! Chorizo sausage and Oaxaca cheese are both found in the refrigerated Mexican food section of the grocery store. Garnish the dip with chopped tomatoes and fresh cilantro, and serve straight from the skillet. Olé!
9 ounces chorizo
1 cup mozzarella, shredded
1 cup Oaxaca, shredded
2 cloves garlic, minced
Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Tomatoes, chopped, for garnish
Turn oven on low broil.
Brown chorizo in skillet, about 8 minutes. Add garlic halfway through browning. Drain and set aside.
In a cast iron skillet, add both cheeses and broil until completely melted.
Top with cooked chorizo, tomatoes and fresh cilantro. Serve immediately with a side of tortilla chips.
